It's interesting to me that ancient Jews fleeing bondage had time to bake bread but not enough time to leaven it and let it rise. What I'm most curious about is this though—How did they have enough time to form it into perfect squares with evenly spaced fork holes? 🤪

I made matzah crack with some of my leftover matzah. With butter toffee, melted chocolate chips, ground pecans, and maldon flake salt. I put some leftover marshmallow frosting on some of it, and that was nice too. #dessert #passover #matzah

Used up the last of my matzah making masa tiganitas, Sephardic matzah brei, which I found a recipe for and had never tried. The matzah is soaked in milk to soften, then cut and dredged in egg mixed with yogurt, and then fried. It was perfectly fine, but I don’t think I’ll make it again - nothing special. We ate it with honey. I had a lot of leftover egg and milk which I turned into quiche. #breakfast #passover #masatiganitas #matzah

Matzah with peanut butter is a special treat for my father and me after Pesach is over, since we don’t do kitniyot. One time, my father dropped a piece face down on the floor so we put it out for the critters. A lucky squirrel came across it, licked all the peanut butter off, and left the matzah! My family and I are doing something a little bit atypical this year for #passover

For our first night (which we actually did a night early due to some scheduling issues), we did the entire service (in our own way of course), but for the remaining nights of passover we are picking one chunk of the #Haggadah to discuss and spend more time with, but also using it as an excuse to eat more #matzah and drink more #wine.
