Mattia Binotto has officially resigned from Scuderia Ferrari, as confirmed by a team statement. His last day with the team will be 31 December.
"The process is underway to identify Scuderia Ferrari’s new Team Principal and is expected to be finalised in the new year."

No announcement out of Maranello yet on Binotto's fate. History will show that turnover for the Ferrari team principal / sporting director role is...not low. Most tend to stay for an average of 3 to 4 years. The notable exception was Jean Todt, who oversaw the team for 15 years from 1993 to 2007. It was a golden time for Ferrari, with Schumacher winning the championship from 2000 to 2004 and Kimi Raikkonen in 2007.

According to Corriere, Binotto's departure is because of a "lack of confidence" from Ferrari chairman John Elkann. Apparently relations between the two have been "cold" for a very long time.
If true, Binotto will leave Ferrari after 28 years with the company, having started back in 1995 as an intern there. He held the role of Scuderia Ferrari team principal for 4 years.
