Hodge claims this is routine job-hunting help. But Doyle could be ambassador only as a political appointee. He'd have been only the 6th political ambassador since 1979. And the #ForeignSecretary was not told. Blatant #corruption.

Wow! Who saw this coming?
Olly #Robbins didn't produce a smoking gun to sink #Starmer over #Mandelson. He gave more detail of ugly pressure to appoint Mandelson, but nothing explosive.
And then Robbins revealed that a second dodgy, pal-of-paedo Labour croney was being lined up for an ambassador job. #MatthewDoyle was just a party hack, an insider comms dude, but being lined up for an actual amassadorship. #YCMTSU
