On the one hand, it's a real shame. On the other, I can understand how it's necessary in this day and age, with all these #privacy concerns and so many underhanded people out there. Still, end of an era. :/

As per the JAC 10th, 12th date sheet, board exams for both classes will begin on February 6 and end on February 26.

I just discovered that my eldest foster daughter, who's in #Matric, does #Boolean logic (including AND, OR, and XOR) are part of the #Maths syllabus.

My, but the syllabus has changed since I was in school! We only did that in Computer Studies.

I also know they've done #Calculus in Matric for at least the last 10 years or so. And I remember once time in maths class, someone asked a question (this was Higher Grade, back when we still had different grades), and the teacher's response was, "Oh, don't worry about that. That's Calculus. You'll never touch that unless you do maths at varsity.

To this day, I'm not even sure what Calculus *is*, but I know my brother did it in Matric about 13 years ago.

Who says the standard of #education in #SouthAfrica is dropping? Sure, maybe the pass mark is dropping, but the difficulty and complexity is way higher than when I was at school! :O
