Today I have marked more than 500 pages of MMath dissertations: rather a lot of mathematics, even by our standards.
It is time-consuming, but I always forget how rewarding it is. The breadth and depth of our students’ work is genuinely impressive.
This year: wave scattering by elliptical inclusions; underwater acoustic propagation; and the target strength of oceanic plastic islands.
