Leute, auch die schönste Zeit geht mal vorbei. Das wars mit dem Monat der #mathmemes. Hier ist No. 30:
Ein wilder Ritt. Mir hat es gefallen, all diese Memes irgendwie in einen Mathe oder Academia Kontext zu ziehen. Hat mich aber auch bestimmt 15-20 Minuten pro Tag gekostet, in Summe mehr eine Folge 😳.
Bleibt uns gewogen, empfehlt uns weiter und ganz bald gibt’s wieder was auf die Öhrchen. Aber wirklich.

In der Mathematik sind endlos lange Reviews leider keine Seltenheit.
OK, Mathepaper sind länger und dichter als z.B. in Medizin, aber trotzdem brauchen die Referees max. wenige Tage dafür. Aber diese schieben sie endlos auf und die Editoren sind nicht pushy genug.
Das ist problematisch, weil es shady Publishern Aufwind gibt!
Die bieten “Fast track” was am Ende meistens einfach Verwässern oder gar Weglassen des peer review ist.
