The señora I rented a cabaña from the last 2 trips, moved into it, so I’m renting the casa she moved out of. Kitchen, WiFi, hot shower, room for hamaca. Comes with a resident kitten. Her name is Mushe. This will do! Only caveat is that she still needs it for Friday pizza night since the oven is here. Visited my stone peace sign & found this cute cactus :) #Wirikuta #Matehuala #Mexico 🇲🇽 08/03/25

Made it to Matehuala last night & got a room since it was too late for the last transport into the desert. Wicked flooding rain last night, like I’ve never seen here before! They say it stated about 5yrs ago. Once even flooded with floating cars… in the desert! I’m now in #Wirikuta - More later :) #Matehuala #Mexico 🇲🇽 08/02/25

Made it to Matehuala last night & got a room since it was too late for the last transport into the desert. Wicked flooding rain last night, like I’ve never seen here before!
