:fedi: #FediverseTip: Did you know you can use the Fediverse to write your future self a letter?

If you have a secondary account that you can use with a client that has a post scheduling feature, then you can send a private message to your main account that will arrive in a week, 3 months or 10 years.

If you don't have such an account yet, you can e.g. get a secondary Mastodon account (hint: climatejustice.social has a 5000 characters limit) and use e.g. Tusky or Fedilab.

Then you'll just have to stay active in the Fediverse and you might get regular letters from your past. 😊

Bon allez, j'ai bien mangé et j'ai même travaillé ensuite (quelle idée...). Il est donc l'heure du mini thread sur les notifications dans les App Mastodon pour Android. Comme il contiendra des conseils pour changer certaines choses, je vais ajouter le #MastoTip dans les toots concernés. Go pour un #MastoThread

Tried out @trunksapp for #Mastodon on #Android + #Browser, and I really like it. Cool new stuff, like showing only posts, boosts or replies; showing only not-read-posts and especially the green checkmark for verified accounts (#BlueCheckmark anyone). Will keep an eye on it.
@elk stays Nr.1, slightly in front of @phanpy for reading and interacting, @apps for posting links.

1. Login, set up your profile & bio.
Boost posts, write your #introducton post. Watch your 1st popular post get boosted. :boost_ok:

2. Install a better app. Repeat step 1. Use more #hashtags.:mastodon_oops:

3. Tune your app settings. Re-read the @feditips website. Welcome new joiners as if you know what you're doing. 😂

Mastodon har ingen algoritmer! Så måden "Boost" (retweet) og "Favorite" (like) fungerer på er anderledes.

1) "Favorite" giver ikke den originale besked større reach som et "like" gør på Twitter. Det er *kun* mellem dig og forfatteren af beskeden. Mere et "Tak".

2) "Boost" vil derimod blive sendt ud til *dine* followers, og øge beskedens reach - så brug "Boost" tit og ofte, og se den som en "Like"+"Retweet" i én knap.
