Busy days. Went to see Brandi Carlile @ the Xfinity Center on Tuesday - such a great show. For a stadium show, it felt very intimate. In difficult times it's always nice to be surrounded by queer joy--the whole crowd was on their feet and dancing the entire time.
Last night was an abbreviated writing night. Made some good progress on the story I'm working on; not 100% sold on it just yet, but, better to make progress than yearn for perfection?

Worldbuilding thoughts: a planet in perpetual twilight where 70% of the surface is covered in fine grey dust or water filled with unidentified chemicals that kill plants.
The only features are occasional, huge, impossible, beautiful art deco structures in white and gold: towers that defy physics, bridges that span oceans.
They're maintained by aggressive star shaped robots that raid ships and sellers for materials, but show no sign of sentience.
