Anyone needs this zoom effect for custom emoji picker on #MastodonWeb? go take the stylesheet! It seems to be underutilized.

Ironically, I'll be using this shiny quote-post feature to now complain about the wrong UI for picking post visibility. All the while quoting more expressive members of the community, hehe.
Seriously, why go and make 4 clicks every time when you have a patch right there to fix this nonsense? These should have been treated as separate buttons, to begin with.

I am just really excited about this new quote-post feature. Applications include:
- translating your posts to another language (especially if you keep accounts separated)
- extending some context on-point, when you know nobody will click to read the full thread
- reiterating your old posts, with learned experience
- extending on someone else's post (I mean those that started appearing recently on supported servers), when you have something to say about it, but also want to show it off with all media attached to the original post -

I was wondering why I was hearing Mastodon web notification sounds but not seeing anything, turns out I somehow unknowingly switched my notifications page to the mentions tab and that also changes the badge on the notifications button in the side (bottom on mobile) bar such that it only shows up on mentions, I think??

Did they really reorganize the right sidebar of #MastodonWeb to promote bullshit like "trending" and "live feeds" which I never, ever use, with no means for me to customize it?

Mastodonin web version kyvyttömyys pitää äänet hiljennettyinä edes yhden selainistunnon sisällä alkaa ärsyttää sen verran paljon, että harkitsen jo koodimuutoksen ehdottamista A.K.A pullarin tekemistä A.K.A lahjoitusta yhteiseen kassaan. Hiljennän näitä ääniä useammin kuin kirjautun.

@GhostOnTheHalfShell What I end up doing in #MastodonWeb for finding whether a certain name is in my followers list is press "Followers" and scroll down extensively with a page search and name entered until I (don't) find who I need. Such is the trick with pagination systems and manual search. I wish there was a better way to filter such lists throughout the interface, as you're requesting...

I am increasingly mystified why Mastodon web happily interprets Open Graph link preview cards but does not generate them for its own posts. Like. That's weird, right?

There's one thing I hate about Firefish. I'm basically back to having my timeline jump around and losing my place. I had partially fixed it on Mastodon web. (I did not handle well the case where stuff was being loaded in mid-timeline.) However, now I'm back to square one.
So I have to ask. Who the fuck thinks this is a good idea to just have the interface jump around without a damn care in the world?

Ok, so I perfected the userscript I created to fix the stupid #Mastodon bug in the web interface about scrolling Home when you are in "Slow mode." According to my observations, the stock code works for a while and then it stops.
My script puts a scroll command at the end of the execution queue in JavaScript and focuses the first unread toot. It's been working fine for over a day for me, so I'm calling it "done."

It would be better if #MastodonWeb had an option to open external profiles through original instance by default (in new tab), especially once extensions like #FediAct become common.
Now that I think about it, this could be an idea for such extension. -
OK, what is happening, #Megalodon? Some posts just don't appear and it breaks threads. Don't have this problem with #MastodonWeb.

When browsing #MastodonWeb on desktop, I highly recommend an extension called #FediAct. It acts as an intermediary for interactions made on other instances to be sent back to your home #Mastodon instance. Once you install such thing, you won't have to think about it twice. :rickhey:

Il n'y aurait pas moyen de déplacer la colonne active/dynamique (celle qui n'est pas « épinglée ») juste à gauche ou à droite de la colonne de l'éditeur de pouet, plutôt que tout à droite ?
Plus on ajoute de colonnes épinglées, plus elle se retrouve loin et plus il faut faire défiler de droite à gauche et de gauche à droite. 😣 -
Est-ce que vous aussi, quand vous laissez #MastodonWeb ouvert un certain temps, l'interface lag comme s'il y avait des fuites mémoire ou quelque chose comme ça ?
