  1. I get why persons who have been here on #Mastodon for a while might want to preserve those aspects of the Mastodon experience they have valued the most, but sometimes the attempts to tell new persons what they should and should not do on the platform comes across a bit like #Mastodonsplaining

  3. @lauren I always seen myself as a nerd myself being far too deep in that community but wow every time I complain about a missing feature (like quote tooting) I get some serious
#mastodonsplaining here. So far the only blocks & mutes I've done are for these reply guys (and yes it's always guys).

  5. Hi Mastodon friends - the main thing I find confusing about this platform is the whole server thing?

Like I have no idea if I joined the ‘right’ server for me and the like minded audience?

    Anyways just my random thoughts if anyone has any tips please let me know I’d appreciate it 🥰 #mastodonserver #mastodonsplaining #newbiequestion #newbiequestions #newbietips #newbies #disabilityactivists #disabled #NEISvoid #mentalhealth #neurodiverse #neurodivergent #MentalillnessAwareness #introduciton

  6. Mastodon does seem to baffle a lot of potential users. The only real thing different to the Twitter signup process is the choice of server. Words like 'decentralised platform' don't mean anything to your average disgruntled birdsite user looking for a new home.

Some kind of centralised signup that asks you questions about your location and interests (like Twitter does anyway) and then suggests an appropriate server based on your answers might be a good idea? @Mastodon #mastodonsplaining
