The 1988 Honda CBR600F Hurricane. This was the second one of these I had bought. It was 20 years old then. Needed a fuel pump and the carbs cleaned to get it running, then I repaired and repainted all the broken plastic. It ran a lot better than the first one. A little small for me but it's not like you're riding one of these for days. Had it a year, maybe two.

I got around to watering the tray of plants in the basement and saw some flowers. It was mid-October when I potted up all the volunteer verbena and one Marconi pepper plant. The verbena doesn't mind the cold, the pepper plant is just maintaining life.

It seems to currently only have some percussion sounds but I don't know MIDI keyboards so I have learning to do beyond plugging it in and it showing up in Ardour and it actually making sound.

My good deal needed some work. The usb type-b socket was broke off. I by chance saw this odd piece of metal in the box, thought it was nothing related, then I had another thought and saw only hole where there should have been a usb connector.
Find a donor, disassemble both, de-solder and clean up the recipient, solder the 'new' one in, and clean up a little, and reassemble. All done in about an hour.

To summarize, an absolutely not popular person with less than 500 followers is in the top 1% of mastodon.social users, and even has their own exclusive hashtag apparently (i just looked).
My purpose of creating the hashtag is for people's content that is exclusively on mastodon and nowhere else unless it's an old photo from the past then it might exist elsewhere of course.

The Hefeweizen after 10 days in the bottle. It actually tastes like cloves and bananas. The one clear bottle I have is bubbling slightly so it's still carbonating some but this tastes good.
Pilsen light DME used was 755 grams and Bavarian Wheat DME was 3017 grams for more than 8.5 gallons or 32 liters. 1oz / 28g Fuggle and 0.6oz / 17g Czech Saaz hops. SafAle WB-06 yeast.

Bottled the moscato wine today. It's been 32 days total and 9 days since I put the final addition in it. A little bit over 21 liters in bottles plus some other. It looks good, taste good, came out about 11% ABV.

Bottled the Bavarian Hefeweizen / Weißbier yesterday. 89 12oz / 255ml and two 16 oz / 475ml bottles filled. I put my filling hose on the Speidel spigot and it worked good. I used a flashlight to see that the trub was below outlet. 3 grams of sugar per brown bottle and 4 in the two pints. I measured it dry this time which was a lot easier than a syringe and syrup.

I haven't seen the others for a couple of weeks now They all seemed to be immature ones that would have hatched out this summer. It was filling up on food for the long night before it got dark this evening. This was about 4pm and it shows up after 7am in the morning.

Sun came out briefly after the forecasted less than .25in. / 6mm rain 🌧️ that measured .75in. / 19mm stopped and the bees were a little active but it was only 45F/7C out. Removed the last two feeders that have been empty for a while and flipped the quilt boxes so the screened vents are behind the lid.

Brew day! A Bavarian Hefeweizen extract making 8 gallons.
First up, a little #sewing to make a big beer koozie for the new Speidel 30 liter.
Next, normal extract beer things divided in half and again for most of the boil.
Then limited space siphoning of the first half.
Finally, the second half boiling and a late snack for lunch washed down with a beer since it seemed appropriate.

I got around to storing most of the seeds. They had been drying for .. a while. Plenty of seeds but a lot less than expected for some. The big saved cucumbers had very few seeds in them and the San Marzano were almost seedless. Cucumbers could be crossed with each other which is ok, and the honeydew and MN midget could cross but again that would be ok too.

The Oktoberfest beer after 8 days in the bottle before chilled for a test. It needs more time to carb up and clear a little but I wanted a little to test for the weekend. It got a 'tastes really good' from the big city tasting judge. No off tastes that I can tell. Only 5 other bottles refrigerated, the rest in the cool cave where they can get better.
