Here’s a Mastodon question for you.

I verified a domain in my profile a year ago. I implemented my own advice from a series I wrote (https://joshbruce.com/essays-and-editorials/webdev/absolute-beginners/) and added a centralized (Linktree-like, but not linktr.ee) site; at least that’s the current experience.

I added it to my profile and verified it. I’m planning on removing the other one, because it’s in the list o’ links site.

Am I caring about a metric (or message) that doesn’t matter?

Note: This will work only if your Mastodon server is based on Mastodon glitch-soc fork. If it didn't work, please comment which server so that others need to waste time looking for it.

▶️ You can go to account settings and look for "show content-type choice when authoring tools"

▶️ Select the option

▶️Now go to the editor and select file symbol next to the globe. Now you can choose the content type. For example, Markdown

Muuttuuko instanssin selausnäkymä sen mukaan että olen mastodo.fi:n käyttäjä tai suomalaisesta IP-osoitteesta vai ollaanko me vaan tänään näin vauhdissa suhteessa muihin - kun on vapaapäiväkin vielä? :D

An additional #MastodonNewbie question. There is a 'language' button in the thing I'm typing this #toot in right now. With me, it's set on NL (Dutch) as a standard, yet I toot in Dutch and English. Is it good practice to set the function to EN every time I toot in English, or is the only thing being influenced by that the correction of my spelling?
