Laptop band karne ke baad bhi agar dimaag me kaam chal raha hai, toh aap overworking nahi... overthinking ka shikaar hain. 💻📱

Company aapko replace karne me 2 hafte legi, lekin aapki health aur peace aapko wapas milne me saalon lag jayenge.

Today's Reminder: Work is a part of life, not your whole life.

Kitne log aaj exact time par log-off kar rahe hain? ✋

I am very happy and proud to note that India’s young chess players, both men and women, are bringing honor to the nation in international competitions [1].

R. Praggnanandhaa, Gukesh D, Nihal Sarin, and Arjun Erigaisi have shown consistent excellence in top-level tournaments. Koneru Humpy and Harika Dronavalli continue to achieve remarkable results. Newer players like Divya Deshmukh and Vantika Agrawal are also making significant progress.

Their discipline, strategic understanding, and calmness during play demonstrate individual skill as well as the rising standard of chess in India. This growth stems from strong grassroots initiatives, increased access to digital learning, and guidance from pioneers such as Viswanathan Anand.

Indian chess is now in a promising phase, and looking forward to even greater achievements ahead.

One side: technology rising.
Other side: nature dying.

We’re crushing mountains into M-sand like they’ll grow back.
They won’t.

Everyone’s numb. In sheep mode.

But I see it. I feel it.

This Earth isn’t ours — it’s rented.
Let’s not burn it before we pass it on.

TIL @videolan VLC media player main website is STILL blocked in my country.

I knew this was a thing in the past but didn't realize people still can't download VLC player 😂

I am **so very happy** I use Linux which distributes software using repos instead of fetching it from foreign domains.

I was trying to compile #Ladybird browser for fun and I ran into an error because of this.

The fix was to VPN to quickly download the necessary files and the build continued!

In the first review, Gaganpal Singh did an incredible job as the anchor, creating a welcoming environment where everyone felt at ease to participate. His exceptional moderation skills ensured that everyone walked away with a great learning experience.

Looking forward to another insightful discussion led by Gaganpal, where we can dive deeper and walk away with new perspectives. Don’t miss out!

Delhi airport leaks, even when there is no rain.

I am sitting at Chaayos and AC vent leaks. I saw the same in few other places.

So please forgive me if I think india is nowhere near a developed country in terms of sustainable infrastructure.

If we keep going without holding the powers accountable it is all going to collapse as a grand palace of cards

Beware of the fake ‘FedEx courier’ call. It’s the latest cyber scam

Just now one of my friend got this call.

They employ Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems that convincingly simulate automated calls from FedEx and fake customs and Mumbai police officials. The callers weave a tale of a stuck consignment being thoroughly checked at the Mumbai airport customs, leading to the discovery of narcotics hidden among the items. To avoid legal troubles, they coerce their victims into paying a hefty ‘fine’ ranging from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.

This is a sophisticated operation.

Following the initial call, victims receive a Skype call from an individual dressed as a police officer. This fake officer requests sensitive information, such as the victim's Aadhaar and PAN card details. The scam takes a sinister turn as the victim is informed that multiple bank accounts are linked to their Aadhaar number and these accounts are involved in money laundering activities. This claim amplifies the sense of urgency and impending legal trouble.

Don't fall for this scam. End the call. Educate your family and friends.

China's peaceful rise

In 2 generations, China has gone from poor agrarian society to the most powerful economy of the world today.

Yet,
̐• It didn't invade any country
• It didn't fire a single shot

From Roman to British to American growths, all growth has come from colonization or conquest. China's rise has been peaceful. China's rise has been faster and greater.

China will not dominate the world, because days of superpower's dominance is over.

As every country surrounding India falls miserably (Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and now Bangladesh), time to remember and thank the founding fathers of India.

They laid a strong foundation for India's democracy and shaped it to be a republic. Without them, we also would've been a failed state.

Lot of the population today celebrates those who didn't fight for freedom or democracy. They adore who didn't hoist India's flag in their campus. It is a pity they are the majority today.

I hope and pray that my country stands strong in it's founding ideals.

@TechCrunch they have a streaming app called JioCinema. This app says a lot about their business. Just provide a lot of content to users with horrible experiences. Their app is full of negative reviews on play store. Tremendous amount of ads (watched a 30 min short film with 10 advertisements)
Pay for a premium annual plan and still watch advertisements. The app doesn't even remember the movie or tv shows you left in the middle.

This plant growing in the pot in which I sowed mint seeds ( more like black dots) purchased from gardening shop.
But the mint I have known and used in cooking (spearmint पुदीना) has much darker and rougher leaves, stronger smell and taste too.
Is this really #mint of some different kind? It does grow close to the ground, kind of chandelier-like curved stems. #gardeningmastodon #mastodonIndia
