🦔💚 There is something deeply beautiful about watching these little lives simply eat, feel safe, and share the same space. Sometimes conservation begins with something as small as kindness toward a creature that cannot speak for itself. Every life matters. Every species has a place on this planet. 🌍 What does protecting nature mean to you?

For those who have enough space around their home, this can make a beautiful overwintering place for all kinds of species.

Pile branches on top of each other, leaving spaces between them.
Then cover them with pieces of turf and leaves.
Make sure animals, such as hedgehogs, can get in from underneath.
You can also hollow out the soil underneath a little first.

🌱 A small step can mean so much to us.

We’re continuing to build YECI Farm a place for conservation, sustainable farming, trees, food security and youth learning. 🌳❤️

If this work speaks to you, you can take a look at the screenshot and learn more. If you’re able to support with even €5, €10 or any amount, we’d be truly grateful. 🙏🏾

And if you can’t give, sharing means a lot too. 🤝🏾

Hi #MastodonFamily 🌱 I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to quietly share something close to our hearts at YECI. We’re working to secure our farm land, where conservation, sustainable farming, trees and youth learning can grow together. We’ve just received our first donation toward the remaining €2,500, and it gave us new hope. ❤️
If you’re able to support with any amount, we’d be deeply grateful. And if not, simply sharing means a lot to us. 🙏🏾🌍

🌞🌿 Good morning, beautiful #MastodonFamily ! 💚
Look at this ripe papaya glowing on the tree! 🧡✨ It was looking so delicious… but apparently, some little guests got there before me! 😂🐦🐜
I guess when you grow food in harmony with nature, you sometimes have to share the harvest. 🌱🍈❤️
At YECI Farm, even moments like this remind us that a healthy farm is full of life not just crops. 🌳🦋🐝
Would you have shared it with the little guests, or eaten it before they got there? 😂
Have a beautiful day, everyone

🚴🏾‍♂️🌱 We ride through every challenge because the dream is bigger than the road.

Wakiso Cycling Club Uganda is building more than a cycling club🚴we are creating opportunities for young people to ride, learn, serve their communities and believe in themselves.

The journey is not always easy. Some roads are rough, resources are limited, but we keep moving. Every ride brings us closer to a stronger cycling community. 🇺🇬
We may face challenges, but we will not stop

🙏 A Humble Request for Support

Last semester, you kindly supported these two brothers with groceries. We are truly grateful for your kindness. ❤️

🙏 Can You Help Us Create a GoFundMe? 🚲🇺🇬

Our growing cycling club in Uganda needs kind support to create a GoFundMe campaign for helmets, tools, jerseys and other equipment. This will help us keep cyclists safe, access training materials, develop young talents and expand cycling to more districts across Uganda. Could someone kindly help us create the fundraiser? Your support can help us make this dream possible. Thank you, and may God bless you! 🙏🚲

We've come so far together! 💚 We have already raised €2,000 toward securing a permanent home for our environmental education project. Only €1,500 remains. If just 30 kind people gave €50 each, we could reach our goal and begin using the land. Every €50 brings us one step closer to empowering young people, protecting nature, and creating lasting change. Will you be one of the 30? Thank you for believing in our mission. 🌍

All I want is for my children to live with dignity, for their needs to be met without us having to worry, think, and be afraid.Up until this moment, I'm worried about how to feed my children 💔How to pay their tuition fees I don't know if the day will pass without support, or if one of the kind people will give us some comfort 🙏🥺

@bretcarmichael @Mastodon I think that it should not only be helpful to journalism but also other people who are doing great improvements and work in the communities.
I am an activist from Uganda training young people to be leaders of change in ending hunger and environmental degradation.
By meeting fellow activists, this is a golden blessing indeed.
Is there anyone whom we can collaborate with?

Good morning, Mastodon! Been a while since I posted here! Hope everyone’s well! I shall definitely be around more often, particularly in the new year. 2024 should be a good one! Have a wonderful day, my friends! #positivevibes #goodmorning #mastodonfamily

@jorsh @ashley It will be tough, but never forget that her horse is a great listener & such a comfort once you’ve unburdened yourself to them. Totally agree with your throwaway comment that people are horrible, but I’m fairly sure you referred to other people, not the #mastodonfamily Good luck.

When I come here, it feels like I'm walking into our little hangout, and there are always some familiar faces waiting for me. And I sit down, order a drink, say something, and right away someone catches me. We're a small, fine clique. I love it. Thanks, guys.
