@cliffwade @poleguy @mackaj @Mastodon OK thanks for clarification. I have never encountered this collection thing before. And I'm not fully convinced yet, that muting normal words to avoid a rare encounter of something is a good strategy, but I will not tell people what to do.
However using #mastodonCollections is not my favorite, because it's extremely long and it implies that no other fedi services could use collections (even if right now mastodon is certainly the only one)

To me #mastodoncollections is a failure. I can't create any collections since the feature "respects the integrity" (bunny ears) of users who are unfamiliar with Mastodon and don't know the setting exists tucked away in the web ui.
I wanted to create a collection of social democratic accounts. No can do, buddy boy.Its for creating collections of power users who are up to date with the latest features. I just don't get why it can't be opt out instead of opt in.
