So #MastodonAfrica now supports #QuotePosts, for better or worse.

Despite all my bitching about them, I will probably end up using them. There's no better way to both share a post and simultaneously comment on it, in such a way that your followers see your comments in the same context as the share.

I still wish the comments on quote posts would get included in the thread of the quoted post, so that everyone could participate in the new conversation. But maybe that would just end up being way too convoluted and confusing, and I should just be careful what I wish for. :-)
