Why is that when I search for an account on an instance, it shows up but when I search for the same account on another instance, it doesn't show up? This has happened to me far too many times at this point. And I used to think it only happens on #infosec.exchange (this was the only instance I have ever used till today's afternoon). But I checked out other instances today and it happens on others too including #sakurajimamoe 🥲 And this doesn't only happen with accounts but also with posts. On some instances, for some accounts, it doesn't show any activity or posts of the account at all even while the profile shows when searched. And sometimes, it shows some posts and doesn't show some. Can anyone enlighten me about this 🙏🙏

Ich hab vorhin einen #SpamAnruf aufs Mobiltelefon bekommen. Der Verein nennt sich "Deutsche Lotto Gesellschaft" und betreibt laut Medienberichten aktuell eine #Phishing-Kampagne.
Lasst euch nicht reinlegen:
- keine persönlichen Daten bestätigen, nicht mal den Namen, nach dem sie zuerst fragen. Seriöse Anbieter von Dienstleistungen rufen nie unerwünscht an und fragen am Telefon nie nach persönlichen Daten.
- auflegen und die Nummer blockieren und als #Spam kennzeichnen
- in sozialen Medien andere vorwarnen
- die #Verbraucherzentrale|n aufwecken: die hessische hat weder einen #Mastodonaccount noch ergibt die Suche auf ihrer Webseite nach "Spam Anruf" einen Treffer. Dort sind offensichtlich nur SMS und E-Mail bekannt.
