Trying out #IceCubesApp Mastodon client. #TrunksApp has been my go to for a couple of months, but it seems to have no current development and some very odd UI issues.

Ice Cubes interests me because it’s written in #Swift, meaning there’s going to be an ongoing focus on iOS and MacOS.

prediction:
there'll be something like a "tiktok reading"

• text only social media (until images get reintroduced later on)
• like a fast reading app, words appearing in the center of the screen, each phrase replacing the last, very hight speed
• text has some intonation like rythm

hmm maybe I should build masto client webapp doing exactly that

is there a liv that handles all the difficult stuff?

Not an endorsement but Openvibe is an #Android app that lets you log into both #Bluesky and #Mastodon at once. I'm currently trying it.

It makes a single timeline for posts at both sites.

I'm not really into its aesthetic choices, but it is functional so far. Haven't figured out cross posting.

I’ve been using @IceCubesApp as my mastodon client on iOS and this update seems to have broken the ability to tap the “Timeline” button to take me to the most recent post. Hopefully that can be fixed quickly!

On the #birdsite I used tweetbot. They purged all tweets from my timeline from tweeps I muted or blocked. I want a #mastoclient that does the same. Any hints?

I am curious about web-based Mastodon interfaces that are NOT the default one I see when I log in to Universodon.com... Like, I stumbled upon https://elk.zone, which seems very nice, and I'm wondering what other alternatives might be available to the public? Trying test toot from the Tooot iOS app which at first go looks much better than the official Mastodon app. Easy to see federated and local feeds, as well as those I follow. Now seeing how well it uploads a photo, with my St Andrews Cathedral picture. Not quite ideal for photo upload because I must turn my iPad round to portrait orientation to be able to add alt text. Spoiler: it's not terribly exciting yet! I've been trying to get down a solid flow for OAuth and cache management via LocalStorage before moving forward. Both are new to me! Also not been feeling too hot lately, but slowly chugging along with this.

I also included the #Elm time-traveling debugger so people could poke at it and see how the program changes over time.

Hey #MastoDev, I'm trying to verify a cached Mastodon application registration for my #MastoClient, but not quite sure how to best go about that.

There's supposedly an API endpoint at /api/v1/apps/verify_credentials to verify your app works, but it doesn't seem like that's what I want. Should I try to obtain a token at /oauth/token and immediately revoke it? Is there a better way?

I'm new to #OAuth and my flow uses codes from /oauth/authorize, not tokens; it seemed like codes were preferable.

@david I don't have any BNC connectors to test it with quiiite yet. Which is fine because I've been working on my #MastoClient this evening instead!
