I don't think it's even anything to do with mis/information. It is rooted in identity & association with heroes/icons/cult leaders & group dynamics.
How else could 1000s of people be willing to commit #MassSuicide in Jonestown & several others. The 1st response should be for EACH of us to admit that we are ALL susceptible & vulnerable. Only then can we address attacks on that vulnerability.
Ideologies & socio-political principles are all gateways to manipulation.
