For the first time in over 6 years, an "Ick" has visited our humble abode. Feels like a "regular old head cold", judging by the symptoms. Assumption is that partner brought it home from her retail job. As she still wears a mask at work, we have gotten "lucky" in that her viral load had to have been small, which allowed her to recover fairly rapidly.
I'm pushing 48 hours into full onset, and overall I'm doing fairly well. Congestion, but not enough I can't breathe through the nose. Throat irritation, but I'm able to control it fairly well and avoid excessive throat clearing and coughing with just cough drops. Appetite is ok. Will test my resilience with at least an attempt at my usual stationary bike workout today.
I still fucking hate being sick.
