I make ear savers for my kids who wear KN95s (they also tighten up the masks so they fit better). I make them from reused or inherited materials I already have. Normally I make them with a single large button on a circle, but today I decided to have a little fun and put a pair of kitty buttons on a purple sparkly bow. I get frustrated because my kids lose them a lot (somewhere between 12-20 lost over 4 years). Maybe something special will last longer? #maskArt #crochet

I recently made a bunch of thinner, more delicate #MaskArt bands for my partner when she started wearing the Prescientx breathe1 at work, and she's been switching them up just like I do. But the crowning glory came today, when one of her colleagues in one of her high-powered meetings said, distractedly: "Sorry, I can't stop staring at [Partner]'s bedazzled mask!"

My work here is DONE.

She goes so well with tomorrow’s #MaskArt that it’s a shame I can’t take her to work with me as an accessory.

We ordered a bunch of one-metre coloured elastics to make into bands for my partner’s #MaskArt, and I think the shop owner thought they were for a little girl’s hair ribbons because they added a few extra ones: the snowman from Frozen, “Big Sister”, and Hello Kitty. 🤣 We did end up finding a use case for the last of the three, though: happy #Caturday, Pekoe and Tippy!

I’m honestly not sure whether I’ve posted one like this in the past, but I couldn’t find it immediately, and I was finding it pleasing today, so here we go. Today’s #MaskArt feeling as wintry as the weather today.

I don’t post pictures of myself online, but I just had to find a way to post today’s #MaskArt WITH the dress it’s accompanying! It’s a bit of a silly selfie but I think you get the idea. 🤣

The effort in #MaskArt feels a little silly in weather like this when I’m basically always outside and i only mask for like five minutes at a time ducking in and out of places. But this is what I’m sporting today, anyway.

I went FULL BLING today with my #MaskArt on my errands. No one batted an eye. 😳

- Picture 1 is what I wore for errands and to the dentist on Thursday

- Picture 2 is what I'll wear to the office tomorrow (with a black and white jacket)

- Picture 3 is what I'll wear to the NHL hockey playoffs watch party on Tuesday night (possibly crowded but still outdoors, so I'll likely be wearing it around my neck part of the time, but it should still look cool hanging there!)

Since the semester is over, so are most of my reasons to be on campus and look full-on professional, so I'm trying out some shinier, "blingier" styles. #MaskArt

I bought these three lovely pieces of “holographic” sheer fabric for my #MaskArt, but it turns out I can’t really use them for that (one layer against a filter looks like nothing at all, sob). But it’s so gorgeous I have to find some other use for it, I think—it would be too tragic for it to sit around gathering dust.

Any thoughts? Three funky scarves, maybe? 🤔
