#Masera 🇮🇹 on the #Centovalli #Vigezzina line is the last stop for westbound trains, before reaching #Domodossola. It is at the bottom of the steep descent from the heights to the Toce valley. Pictured is today’s afternoon local, worked by one of the charming narrow gauge ABe8/8 units from the 1950s.

Stopping by the roadside earlier this afternoon, we were overtaken by the #SSIF 🇮🇹 ABe6/6 unit 34 “Piemonte”, working the 14:04 regional service from #Domodossola to #Re. Next stop would be #Masera, where the narrow gauge line would leave the #Toce river plain, starting its steep ascent to the Valle Vigezzo.
