A few other random photos, mostly of the large patch of Oregon Grape that grows nearby. It’s thriving and spreading, mostly because of the mild, wet winter and because the deer refuse to eat it. I like the way the new leaves are a bright crimson that turns into glossy green. The yellow flowers will turn into purple berries, hence the “grape” name. From what I read, they’re edible, but just barely and don’t taste that great.
