  1. (IDK why #Marxists are supposed to be mad at me here, but I'm sure some of you can come up with a reason)

  2. I know I was supposed to be playing nice and saving my radical opinions for my blogs, but I have to write and my blog isn't ready and I'm probably about to piss of a lot of #leftists #marxists #feminists and #trans people.

I cannot any more with the discussion about gender that are entirely divorced for either the historicity of that term or the factual evidentiary knowledge of gender across societies and history.

  3. Spkr #CosplayColbert (in that annoying Southern Prep-school voice of his) on #FnS this morning said he's been on the campaign trail "Since the day #Mamdani was elected" warning Americans about the "Communist agenda of these #Democrats. People need to realize; these people are #Marxists."

Mamdani is doing a FANTASTIC job. He balanced the city's budget, instituted free child care, etc...

Johnson may not realize it, but if THAT is "Marxism", he may be selling it to a generation of Millennials.

  4. I just advanced "scratch a #liberal, watch a #fascist bleed." for encounters with western #marxists:

"Scratch a western marxist, watch an #anticommunist bleed."

Because thats the primary contradiction between western marxists and marxist-leninists: western marxists engage in compatible critique that ultimately leads to no threat for capital. They use anticommunist and imperialist arguments while marxism-leninism has produced many socialist countries.

    Beware of the #imperialist left.

  5. the willingness of #tankies and #Marxists of every flavour to completely speak over #people of other cultures is so ironically imperialistic it hurts. Especially when the subject is someone else’s culture and history.

  6. Being an #anarchosyndicalist is so #funny, because everyone will peg you as a #Marxist (and, fair enough—how I talk about labor as an anarchosyndicalist does sound a lot like how #Marxists talk about #labor), up until the moment you advocate for the #abolition of the #state. And then immediately after you finish that point you will be pegged as a Marxist again!

  7. it's so funny to me, how #marxists refuse to believe that there are any other #imperial powers. the only recognize #america as an imperial core - and #israel, becuase israel is just an extension of #american #imperialism.
    but not um...the #UAE, not #Japan, not the #UnitedKingdom, not #China, not #Russia, not #Australia, just...nope....

  8. There's a massive gap in the left that I'm seeing rn, where many of the most radical among us seem almost unfazed at what's happening the United States, while the more centre-left progressives are bordering on hysteria.

I think it comes down to the fact that many #marxists, #communists, and #anarchists don't see what's going on as unprecedented whereas many progressives, younger #socialists do. I think depending on what facts you highlight and what you focus on, there's truth to this.

  9. CW: re: US pol, some thoughts on why people aren't rising up, thread

(13/?) So with all that in mind--with my history of #leftist #activism and the resulting #trauma from it, as well as the general state of #precarity of life in the US and the sense that protests aren't really effective--I'm asking myself what I need to effectively resist #Trump & #Musk's #coup and #fascist oppression. What do I need to be effective and do the work required sustainably? Just because I know what I might need doesn't mean I'll get it, but understanding my own needs feels like a start.

What I needed while doing #leftist #activism during the first Trump term was care. I needed someone to buy groceries and cook and clean and do what #Marxists call reproductive labor for me. I needed someone to take care of my basic needs.

If you know someone who is doing #activism right now, ask them what they need, and one thing you might offer is to cook a meal for them or do chores for them. It might help

  10. See they don't tell you in school that the #US was carrying proxy wars against #Communists #Marxists since late #1918 into #1920. The cold war really fucking started literally in the ashes of #WWI. We sent Spec Ops to #Russian counter-revolutionaries that were trying to take control away from #Lenin. #WTF.

  11. hey #histodons and others (#marxists and #anarchists and #criticaltheorists) what's your favorite book on the movements surrounding/following/constituting May '68?
