I don't use the term #leftunity because there's a lot of discourse around it, but I do believe that on the ground, in the streets, and on many particular issues, #communist and #anarchist people can work together (and must). I think that better terms might be #unitedfront or #leftalliance, as unity as a term papers over meaningful differences in the two political ideologies.
I think that #anarchists as a whole, could stand to be more critically supportive of past and current socialist experiments around the world, while #communists (#marxistleninists and #maoists) should accept that there is sound anarchist theory that might not be reflected in many self-identified anarchists. After all, how many Leninists can honestly claim to have done their own reading?

"If you support protests in ML states it will make the MLs mad. They don't like any dissidents and slander them as CIA. This happened when Hong Kong protests happened and when Cuban protests happened. They don't care about the people, they defend the oppressors instead.
Then treat China, Cuba, Laos, North Korea, Vietnam as leftist paradises. Anarchists predicted that state socialists would bring in dictatorships and anarchists were right. They still exist and have ruled the people for decades and crushed any resistance.
The same MLs want to create these dictatorships around the world and that is their goal. The state is their goal as government must control everything we do and when you try to resist they crack down on you. They love cops, prisons, military but under red flags."
