Il modo in cui una società tratta le persone che detiene – siano esse cittadini o nemici – è una cartina di tornasole dei suoi valori e della sua moralità.
Da alcuni video raccapriccianti pubblicati sui social media delle visite crudeli e spavalde di #Ben_Gvir ai campi di detenzione emerge un quadro deplorevole: #MarwanBarghouti, fragile e smunto; detenuti ammanettati gettati come sacchi ai piedi del ministro sadico.
#NirHasson ha riferito che nel 2024 199 minori palestinesi sono stati tenuti in isolamento.

A major goal of the attacks on #October7th was getting back all the prisoners and hostages that Israel had previously taken, one of them being #MarwanBarghouti who is widely seen as the Palestinian Mandela. Someone who can rally everyone towards a real long-term solution to the crisis. Of course Israel is refusing to include him in the exchange.

Quando il ministro della Pubblica Sicurezza #ItamarBen_Gvir – che di recente ha fatto una visita ben pubblicizzata all'ala di isolamento dei prigionieri palestinesi di alto livello per umiliare #MarwanBarghouti – si vanta del peggioramento delle loro condizioni, e quando alti funzionari della sicurezza lo presentano come un risultato, stanno inviando un messaggio alla società israeliana e al mondo intero che i doppi standard sono la norma: a noi è permesso, a loro no.
Questa ipocrisia mette in pericolo anche gli stessi ostaggi israeliani.
E' davvero impossibile esigere che un'organizzazione terroristica come Hamas rispetti le norme delle Convenzioni di Ginevra, quando Israele viola apertamente le stesse convenzioni nei confronti dei prigionieri palestinesi. ⬇️5 -

Il video condiviso sui social media dura 13 secondi. Parlava solo l'uomo forte. Quando la sua vittima ha cercato di parlare, il video è finito.
La prima volta che l'ho visto, non avevo idea di chi fosse l'uomo in piedi davanti a #ItamarBen_Gvir, o meglio, ai suoi piedi.Solo dopo aver letto il post ho capito che l'uomo di fronte al ministro della sicurezza nazionale era #MarwanBarghouti.

Une libération de Marwan Barghouti par Israël serait essentielle pour avancer vers la paix et une solution à deux EtatsLes négociations en cours sur Gaza pourraient redonner de l’espoir aux personnes qui tentent encore d’y survivre.
Ces négociations portent sur plusieurs questions cruciales, notamment sur les termes exacts de l’accord concernant l’échange d’otages israéliens et de prisonniers palestiniens.
En regardant vers l’avenir, vers ce que l’on appelle le “jour d’après”, ce qui pourrait nous aider à envisager la forme que prendra le futur dans cette région est la question de savoir si Marwan Barghouti figurera sur la liste des prisonniers palestiniens à libérer.
Mais pourquoi la libération de ce dernier est-elle si essentielle, plus importante même que tous les grands projets et budgets actuellement envisagés pour un Gaza pacifié ?
**Parce que Marwan Barghouti est au cœur de l’évolution à venir de la politique palestinienne**.
Avec lui, il y a de bonnes chances que le Fatah retrouve sa force et maintienne
son engagement en faveur d’une solution à deux Etats avec Israël.Sans lui, le Fatah risque de continuer à se déliter, tout comme le soutien de la
population palestinienne à la paix avec Israël.Si cela se produit, le "jour d’après" ne fera que prolonger un conflit déjà ancien
qui ne cesse de s’aggraver.Le gouvernement israélien pourrait préférer une situation de conflit permanente
– lui permettant d’annexer et de contrôler à sa guise les territoires palestiniens –,
plutôt qu’une situation de paix qui exigerait de faire un compromis historique avec le peuple palestinien.Conscient du rôle potentiel de Marwan Barghouti dans l’avenir de la politique palestinienne, il pourrait choisir de le maintenir en prison.
C’est pourquoi il est crucial que toutes les parties et institutions éprises de paix et qui soutiennent une solution à deux Etats élèvent leurs voix dès maintenant pour plaider en faveur de la libération de l’homme politique palestinien.
# Un rôle de leadership
Membre élu du Conseil législatif palestinien et du Fatah, Marwan Barghouti continue d’exercer un rôle de leadership, même de sa cellule.
Sa popularité constante auprès des Palestiniens, tant à Gaza qu’en Cisjordanie, lui assure une place de choix dans toute élection – que ce soit au sein du Fatah ou pour la présidence.
Avec lui aux commandes, un engagement politique en faveur de la paix avec Israël, soutenu à la fois par un Fatah renforcé et par une large base populaire, devient envisageable.
A ce moment critique – **où il est urgent d’exercer une pression maximale sur
le gouvernement israélien pour qu’il mette fin à son offensive indiscriminée
et génocidaire contre le peuple palestinien** –, il est tout aussi nécessaire d’exiger un acte symbolique unique : la libération d’un prisonnier politique palestinien, dont la liberté, parmi des milliers d’autres, pourrait ouvrir la
voie à un avenir différent.Un avenir dans lequel Israéliens et Palestiniens auraient une réelle chance de vivre en paix, côte à côte.
