Maagisen kesäkisan aikana luin viisi eri filosofin teosta. Aloitin tehtävän purkamisen katselemalla kirjaston filosofia-hyllyä ja sieltä valitsin ohkasimman. 😄

Martin Heideggerin Mitä on metafysiikka? -kirja oli kiinnostavaa luettavaa. Se hämmensi ja aktivoi aivoja sopivasti ja muistutti siitä, miksi jo lukiossa tykkäsin filosofiasta oppiaineena tosi paljon. Mua harmitti tosissaan, kun oli vain yksi pakollinen kurssi ja en saanut mihinkään väliin mahtumaan vapaaehtoisia jatkokursseja. Muistaakseni priorisoin musiikkia ja kuvista, mitä en tietenkään kadu. 😁 Jotain myös osoittaa teiniminän motivoituneisuudesta, että filsasta sain ysin, ekasta ja myös vikaksi jääneestä pitkän matikan kurssista vitosen. 😅 Motivaatiota kyllä auttoi se, että filosofiassa oli mun mielestä selkeämpi logiikka kuin matskussa ja se vastausten pohtiminen oli palkitsevampaa. 😄 Matikassa kun oli liian usein mitähän hittoa -fiilis.

Pidän vastaavanlaisissa filosofian teoksissa siitä, miten kysytään toisaalta hyvinkin yksinkertaisia asioita, mutta kun oikeasti alkaa perehtyä vaikka olemisen kysymykseen, ei se olekaan yksiselitteistä. Pitää myös olla tietyllä tavalla sopivassa mielentilassa, että jaksaa antautua näiden ajatusten ja pohdintojen vietäväksi. Koska aina ei todellakaan ole mielenkiintoa/jaksamista pohtia syntyjä syviä. 😄

Muiksi kirjoiksi valitsin reilusti vanhempaa ja tuoreempaa, koska halusin myös lukea muita kuin itselle tuttuja filosofeja. Niistä tulee sitten omat julkaisut.

Poiesis

Aristotle talked about three kinds of work, whereas in our modern world we tend to emphasize only two. The first is theoretical work, for which the end goal is truth. The second is practical work, where the objective is action. But there is a third: It is poietical work. The philosopher Martin Heidegger described poiesis as a “bringing-forth.” This third type of work is the Essentialist way of approaching execution: An Essentialist produces more—brings forth more—by removing more instead of doing more.
