So happy that the cold front broke so that I can start to feel like living again. It's currently zero degrees Celsius here after 2 days in the -20s and lower with wind chill.
It's fitting that a lot of people are debating about the ethics of artificial intelligence and so-called AI-generated art during this #FullMoonInGemini because Gemini being ruled by Mercury makes it one of the signs most closely associated with technology. All air signs are associated with mind and technology, although Aquarius and Gemini are the most technological due to the influence of Uranus and Mercury, respectively. Gemini's mutable modality reflects Mercury's nature as a trickster, capable of looking at problems from many different angles. Mercury was the messenger of the gods who passed messages back and forth between the earthly and heavenly realms, much the way technology now passes messages across the world via the modern miracles of electronic code.
Conjunct the full moon we also have Mars retrograding in Gemini. Mars is the god of war associated with action, passion, lust, desire, conflict and energy. Retrograde is an optical illusion where the convergence of a planet's movement with the earth's rotation cause it to appear to be moving forwards and backwards, retracing it's path in the sky. A lot of these arguments have been previously tread but seem more urgent and necessary to us right at this moment due to the astrological weather. The full moon often represents a kind of conclusion or climax to previous cycles.
