But their blandness is a death risk. None of the cynicism of Lehrer, bitterness of Sayle, profanity of Drury. No rage, no passion, no energy. All the edginess of a village pond in Surrey.
Their politics are safe. 190% LibDem. Flattering their comfortable audience, never challenging the anti-Trump, twee FBPE smugness. No stand with outsiders.
