Today was the 38th anniversary of the Mersad operation by the gang of Rajavi who attacked Iran together with Saddam's army during the most brutal and bloody stages of the Iraq-iran war.

MKO had received a large number of tanks and armored vehicles, as well as heavy weapons and amo to open a front in Kermanshah province of Iran.

For 24h, they seem to be successful, they managed to cut through Iran's defensive lines and entered the city of Kermanshah, setting up the stage to a bloodbath of IRGC, basij and regular Army soldiers before they were cut off, forced to retreat back to Iraq.

The October 7 style of shock wave went through the whole government and gave Khomeini an excuse to initiate the worst crime against humanity in iran's modern history. His orders were simple:

- cleanse the prisons from anyone who is not loyal to the regime

For weeks starting in August and into September of 1988, some 10000 political prisoners all over Iran were executed or hanged and their bodies buried in shallow graves in Khavaran, Mashahd, Ahvaz and Tabriz.
