    If Elon actually cared about #MarsColonization, he would have used his vast wealth to create/promote dense walkable mixed-use urban communities with good public transit. That's what every #Mars colony will be, by necessity, for at least a century, probably much longer. They'll need colonists okay with living in that type of environment forever. If he truly wants the best and brightest to go, he'll need a future generation of best and brightest willing to do that.

    But he doesn't because
    #Longtermism is a scam. It's about falsely professing morality guided by some higher principles that have the advantage of being untestable and justifying immense suffering today.
