The #jDrama version of #MarryMyHusband was an example of just how awesome a JPN-KOR co-production can be. After one episode #HatsukoiDogs is feeling like its exact antithesis. Everything about it so far screams #kDrama in the worst possible ways. I'll give 1 more, two tops and then even with the sublime Ms Kiyohara on board, I'll be jumping ship.

It's 21:40, I have 4 episodes of #jDrama #MarryMyHusband left and I'm SERIOUSLY tempted to stay up and finish it. Just LOVING it. I also still have zero desire or interest in watching the the #kDrama original. Too long, and not helped by a female lead actor with a surgically inexpressive face.
Getting punched RIGHT in the feels, ;lacrimal glands getting a workout, by #jDrama #MarryMyHusband ep 1 when her single Dad folds her an origami turtle. When my single Dad died, kids he'd given origami cranes to throughout his life folded a hundred or so as a tribute.

The most shocking villain from this year's dramas has to be Song Ha Yoon as Jung Soo Min in "Marry My Husband." The writer & the actors do a fabulous job of slowly revealing the villainy & it's so surprising & creepy - excellent twisty makjang.

Also Park Jin-young in #TheDevilJudge. After being betrayed he threw away all of his principles and decided to follow the devil's plan.

There were SO many great lines in so many dramas this year. Even bad dramas often had one line that really stood out. Many were about living life to the fullest & the depth of love & friendship.
I decided on this one because it seems appropriate for certain political situations right now.

I believe the best female role in 2024 has been interpreted by Park Min-young in Marry My Husband.
The way she acted as a cancer patient first to later slowly evolve into a strong and confident woman was absolutely remarkable. She's a great actress.
Oh my!! I finally watched that famous scene in ‘Marry My Husband’ where they reference BTS songs and it marks a HUGE moment and plot point for the series moving forward (I won’t say what to not spoil anything), and I just got the biggest goosebumps, like I’m even shaking.
This is how much I love them 😭😭 and the fact that they mention ‘Spring Day’ which is one of my favorite songs makes it even more special! 💜

This #kdrama is totally unrealistic when it comes to her illness. She's fine 95% of the time with a few sporadic memory losses and blackouts. Never heard of such a type of terminal disease.
The contrast with how cancer was portrayed for instance on #MarryMyHusband is striking.
And their love story is way too fictional. He is a man who doesn't exist in RL and she's a woman who wouldn't deserve him.

A #kdrama with many similarities with #MarryMyHusband. I must say that the plot twists are better developed here though.
One aspect that I find annoying is the over-romanticized ML hero always saving the FL from death. This character is unfortunately often present in k-productions and I'm getting a bit tired of it.

Changing fate by going back in time with the twist that fate is fate. Who ends up with that fate by changing their own behavior & circumstances is the story here.
A woman who has never stood up for herself dies at the hands of her cheating husband. Waking up 10 years earlier, she learns to advocate for herself.
Great acting by all - special mention for Park Min Young & Song Ha Yoon. Their commitment to their roles was evident. Lee Yi Kyung brings humor to his villain, which provides relief from the outright madness of the other antagonists.
The great side stories are relief from the revenge & craziness.
The show hit double digit ratings domestically & is trending internationally. It's a great watch.

@whoosh We know that Eun-ho sat at the same table of the grandfather during the wedding and then he caught the bouquet.
I agree on the beautiful happy ending with the wedding and the children.
As for Yu-ra, her character was absolutely necessary! Otherwise they would have lived a happy life for 10 years only and then Jy-hyuk would have died.

She's “K-drama's adorable sister”.
Like her character, she posed bubbly with fans when she was spotted in the #Philippines.
An enjoyable #kdrama about second chances in life and overcoming desperate situations by surrounding ourselves of good people.
It is absolutely perfect until episode 12, then the introduction of a new character disrupts a bit the plot, but this twist is essential to make all the puzzle pieces fit together. After watching the end it makes sense.
Episode 15 and 16 are good ones too!

It was a good finale but I'm a bit disappointed that Mrs Yang and Mr Lee didn't end up together!
