  1. Two dozen Friends came to Cropwell #Quaker Meeting in #Marlton NJ today to honor Earl Evens, who is stepping down as clerk. Earl’s tenure has seen a rebirth of a meeting that had dropped down to two members. Earl’s gentle and steady guidance about the form and role and content of Friends’ worship has helped create something special on Sunday mornings.

  2. I'm really looking forward to next Sunday's talk by Chris Stern at Cropwell Quaker Meeting. I really like the simple prompt, "What are we waiting for?" cropwellquakers.org/october-1- #quakers #southjersey #marlton

  3. Currently reading up on 18th century #Quaker minister Joshua Evans of #Marlton #SouthJersey. He was an abolitionist, accompanying Woolman down to the Southern colonies to labor with slave-holding Friends there. But he was also a vegetarian, #plain dresser, supporter of a nearby #Lenape population, and all-around Spirit-led person. Here’s an article on his #WarTaxResistance. sniggle.net/TPL/index5.php?ent

  4. Cropwell Meeting’s infrastructure got a big upgrade this week. Thanks to a generous gift from the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting Granting Group, the building’s electric was rewired, and fire safety upgrades and security lighting were installed. #Marlton #Southjersey #quakers

  5. A few pictures from the chair yoga program at Cropwell #Quaker Meeting in #Marlton #SouthJersey today. I had to leave part-way through to pick up a scout from a camping trip but I enjoyed the stretching I got to do. cropwellquakers.org/feb-5-2023

  6. Time to bake a pie for the #Quaker potluck tomorrow. Any #SouthJersey locals who want to try a slice should come to the “Introduction to #Quakerism” class at Cropwell Meeting in #Marlton. Worship at 10, class at 11, potluck to follow. cropwellquakers.org/jan-15-202

  7. I updated yesterday’s wrap-up of a caroling event at Cropwell #Quaker Meeting in #Marlton #NJ. These write-ups aren’t really written for prospective visitors (they can getting FOMO jealousy from Facebook and Instagram) but for other Friends. Cropwell is a old meeting but almost died out and has been reconstituted over the last 15 months. We’re very interested in outreach and these posts are a record of what we’re doing.

  8. The clerk of Cropwell #Quaker Meeting likes to make cutting boards and he gives them to anyone who gives a presentation. I received a #cat one today for the talk on the peace testimony I gave last week. #marlton #nj
