@razorback Thanks for that tip. Didn't have this on my list so far.

Unfortunately, it can't deal with large Orgdown files: it takes endlessly or it even crashes. #Markor may look promising but it fails with my use-cases.

Following some feedback about my latest calendar.txt post, I’ve been playing with #Markor and opened a feature request:

@thelinuxcast I'm a plaintext kinda guy, mostly using markdown for #notetaking.
So from my smartphone I recommend #markor, which I sync to computer with #syncthing (using dir - `Documents/notes/` for all my #notes), and then just use either Vim or Sublime.

#PrintNotes is a weird one. It's made in "traditional" #material #design, which is a bit outdated to today's standards.

There aren't any on screen distractions, unlike with Markor - but it's toolset is pragmatic and should get you editing quickly. This is a middle ground between #SimpleMarkdown and #Markor.

#Markor is a mainstay for #Android #Markdown editors. It bridges the gap between document writer and note taker by separation of concerns.

As an editor, it has some fairly complex features, like making custom tables to illustrate data.

But it's also old in design and usability. Had to bump up the text size for my own convenience, but still doesn't out compete any of the other editors (like #OpenNote) in that regard.

@jp I'm using #syncthing to sync the posts to my home server. Then a script runs regularly using #cron and updates the site.
I'm using #markor in #android as well.

J'utilise aussi #markor avec une synchronisation du répertoire vers Onedrive. Markor permet de prendre des notes dans des fichiers locaux en Markdown et de les restituer. Il ne gère pas d'indexation ni de tags, mais il fait bien ce qu'il fait et est en licence libre et open source (License Apache V2.0).

@preslavrachev Have you considered just pointing a lightweight editor (#iAWriter , #GhostWriter, #1Writer, #Markor, etc.) at inbox folder(s) in your #Obsidian vault?

That way you wouldn’t have the extra step of exporting from Bear’s database.

#Bear was my notes app for several years, but I’m much happier with Obsidian. I still use #Drafts a lot, but its functionality has much less overlap with Obsidian.

The conclusion after the first 10 days:

• The #Markor (F-droid) app is good as a replacement for the previous using app, Epsilon (Google playstore). Still need to figure out how to make my own templates instead of copy-pasting the last daily and adjusting the specific fields.
• Early on, created a could write about list, though haven’t utilized it yet, since little to no motivation to tackle those topics.
• Quite prone to procrastinate towards the daily until right before bed time, thus creating a more rushed entry. For the next stretch of the challenge the goal is to complete most of the daily within the first four hours of the day.
• With the last point comes also the issue of not knowing what to write about. Thus, I will permit backlog writing, one can start writing about a topic prior to the publish day.
• And finally, ten days is a good starting range for a challenge, though not enough time to conclude if it is creating a positive change. Thereby want to add the addition goal of adding one long form article per month. So for the next 15 days it will be two articles.

Egal, was ich ausprobiere und wie schick die Tools zum #Verwalten von #Notizen sind, am Ende kehre ich immer wieder zurück zu #MarkText, #Zettlr und #Markor. Alle drei sind schlicht, bieten eine gewisse Flexibilität und arbeiten mit #Markdown. Und sie benötigen keine #Cloud oder irgendeinen Account, um irgendwelche Funktionen freizuschalten. 

Markor (https://gsantner.net/project/markor.html) is a simple text editor for Android. It supports #markdown, #todotxt, and #zimwiki syntax highlighting and can convert markdown and zimwiki to HTML or PDF (how cool is that).

The UI is very customizable and includes several popular syntax themes (gruvbox, solarized, and nord to name a few)

Markor works completely offline so you are free to use whatever sync system you want (I use #syncthing). Best of all #markor is completely free and does not have any ads!

Worknote: Markdown und Android mit Markor und Syncthing

Da mein altes Android-Smartphone den Geist aufgegeben hatte, war ich gezwungen, mir Ersatz zu besorgen. @annaelbe Wenn ich das mit Firewall über USB aus dem F-Droidstore eingerichtet und Google ausgesperrt habe und / oder roote, dann aktiviere ich mobile Daten und W-LAN (das ich eingerichtet habe).
