Wonderful evening with Mark Chadwick once again last night.
Part of the Everyone at Once initiative where small independent venues put on a collective event for a weekend. This is to highlight how the much larger Festivals are impacting attendance to the little guys.

Obviously the big headliners have to start somewhere. If there's nowhere for new artists to cut their teeth then this will impact on the Festivals in years to come.

Mark is such an authentic soul. He's been playing at, and also organising his own Festival with Levellers, yet still goes out to play pubs on his own with his guitar. #MarkChadwick #Levellers #Strings #IsleofWight

This is excellent news. Just found out that Mark Chadwick is coming back to play Strings here on the Isle of Wight.
He was incredible when he played here 18 months ago. I fangirled him a bit and begged him to come back, he said he would and I'm thrilled!

I thought that a solo acoustic show on the Isle of Wight would be far calmer than the usual style #Levellers gig but #MarkChadwick had other ideas!
It was a riot from start to finish. He offered to refund any Tories after suggesting that they leave, made me do a waltz with a complete stranger, insisted that no one stood at the back of the room and that we all sing along so that he wouldn't look like a prat (he used another turn of phrase)
It was very up close and personal, loved it.
