Did you know that #MarioKartWii was released in Japan on this very day, 17 years ago?
Honestly, it may have been the most influential Mario Kart game ever in retrospect. The online scene kicked off for real here, the modding scene for the series took off with CTGP and what not, and a whole lot more people became fans of Funky Kong.

Nice to know I've still got it. Kiddos asked me to race in #MarioKartWii today, and I came out on top with 60 points. Now, Thing 1 was on their second day of using the classic controller, and managed 4th, so I think the next time I may be outmatched.
They've unlocked characters and karts I've never seen. But I have very little ambition to spend more time on it at this point.

It would be nice if #MarioKartWii had an option to use #MarioKart64 turning controls so you could just go around corners without having to drift manually and still have the ability to jump.

I might just have another project like the #Mastodon publications page in mind. Does anyone know the entire list of custom retros in #CTGP? There's no list that I can see of, and it's needed because some tracks don't have the name they should carry (e.g. Neo Koopa City being 3DS Koopa City).
If not, then we need to make a list.
