For today #FossilFriday I found a photo from the Smithsonian Natural History museum of a Shell Crushing Mosasaurs skull.
I, like probably many people, think of Mosasaurus Marine Reptiles as hunters of other Reptiles and fish. But there are species that have strange Mushroom shaped teeth that specialize in eating hard shelled critters. Really created a unique skull compared to that of the traditional razor sharp teeth.
