@keraba yikes! Yeah, I have to say one of the things I like about Marin Humane is because they are in a very (VERY) wealthy county, they have a lot of resources.

They're really good about screening the dogs, and only the dogs that are okay for us volunteers to work with are on our board. There's a whole OTHER whiteboard of dogs that we *don't* work with (either because they haven't been evaluated yet or are deemed not safe enough for volunteers to work with).

So yeah: I sort of wish I was volunteering here in my home county, Sonoma, but for now at least I don't mind taking advantage of the largesse of Marin residents. 😆
