CW: Covid, kink, heartbreak, eugenics
One of the things I was afraid of when I started exploring #kink was that I was so traumatized from the #pandemic that I would be incapable of falling in love or feeling anything again for another person. I felt so numb from the isolation of #covid as well a seeing people's selfishness and callous disregard for people with disabilities that I thought that part of me had withered away.
Turns out it didn't! I do still have access to the part of me that can care for and delight in another person. But I also forgot how much it fucking hurts when that other person doesn't care for or delight in me the same way.
The next time I feel this way about someone, I hope it's the last time. There's something about me since #covid19 that feels more fragile, and I can't keep doing this.
In the meantime, there's #MARINA's song "Starring Role" playing on repeat, long walks in nature, and therapy.
