Four years ago we spent the holidays in Marikina in the Philippines, where I saw this along Gen. Ordoñez Avenue. This faded mural must have been more impressive in its prime, but it still had some magic.

#Bicycle accident happened Sunday, July 3, around 11AM.
Caucasian family of 3 riding in #Marikina to #QuezonCity #MetroManila #Philippines #HitAndRun The young son caused a lady biker to crash -- she was sent flying off her bike and hit her head, was unconscious, and the reckless monsters just abandoned her! 😡
They didn't have the heart or decency to stay to check that she'd be fine and pay to cover her medical bills and bicycle repairs!

I asked the dad of the guy who serviced my bike (replaced the shifter and checked the internal gear hub) to add magnets so my #bike can stay together at the wheels when folded, kinda like what those fancy foldable #bikes have.
I hope to pick up my bike from them in the morning. I hope he did a good job. It requires a bit of welding. 🤞

Finally got to a bike shop that fixes #InternalGearHub. Had to travel to #Marikina.
Can't be done in a day. 🤷♀️ Had to leave it at the shop -- the mechanic's busy with other #bikes.
At least it's in good hands. Tim, the Yoda of #IGH, as I like to refer to him, comes very veeeeeery highly recommended. 👌 After meeting him and learning what may need to be done, I'm not so worried about my li'l #bike anymore.
I'll see you later, my Li'l Blue 🔵🚲.

Marikina has many cats lounging on the street, haunting wet markets and patrolling turf. Many of them have fantastic markings.
