L’Accademia Tedesca Roma Villa Massimo e il Goethe-Institut Roma presentano in anteprima italiana, nell’ambito della rassegna Ritorno a Roma, il film-saggio Ancora un dialogo di Roma della scrittrice e vincitrice del Premio Roma Villa Massimo 2023/24 Katerina Poladjan e dell’autore e regista Henning Fritsch. Al termine della proiezione seguirà un incontro con gli autori e il curatore Marius Babias con traduzione simultanea in italiano.
In una rivisitazione del film Il dialogo di Roma (1982) di Marguerite Duras, Katerina Poladjan e Henning Fritsch mostrano immagini della città di Roma, sovrapponendovi una voce fuori campo. L’io narrante rievoca frammenti di memoria: l’arrivo in uno spazio indefinito di possibilità e il ricordo di un’infanzia immaginaria trascorsa a Ostia. Come nell’opera di Duras, la narrazione si muove nel solco dell’intimità e dell’esperienza personale. Lo sguardo rifugge dalle vedute emblematiche per indagare una città sospesa tra bellezza e marginalità, superando ogni distinzione tra ciò che è “proprio” e ciò che è “straniero”.

Ich lese Bücher über das Schreiben, ich lese Bücher über die Bedingungen und Schwierigkeiten beim Schreiben. Ich lese Jutta Reichelt „Mein Leben war nicht, wie es war“ und zum ersten Mal beginne ich ansatzweise zu verstehen, dass ich mich selbst, meine Motive und meine Geschichte kennen muss, um schreiben zu können.
Ihre Lebensaufgabe sei vielleicht die Sprachlosigkeit zu überwinden, schreibt Jutta Reichelt. Und das ist, was ich aus diesem Buch mitnehme, Gründe für Sprachlosigkeit, aber auch Möglichkeiten, sie zu überwinden.
Danach lese ich Kristin Valla „Ein Raum zum Schreiben“. Ich lese die Geschichten von Schriftstellerinnen und ihren Häusern, die von Marguerite Duras, die ich nicht häufig genug lesen und hören kann, aber auch die von anderen Schriftstellerinnen, von denen ich teilweise noch nie gehört habe. Und natürlich die von Kristin Valla selbst, die sich ein Haus in Frankreich kauft, weil sie glaubt, sie brauche es zum Schreiben. Und sie braucht es auch zum Schreiben, aber es ist ein beschwerlicher Weg dahin, ein Weg voller Umwege und Hindernisse. Und was mich am meisten beeindruckt steht in diesem Zitat über das Haus, das sich Marguerite Duras als junge Frau von den Filmrechten eines Buches gekauft hat: „Dass sich eine Frau in den Fünfzigerjahren ein Grundstück von vierhundert Quadratmetern zulegen konnte, dass sie dachte, bewusst oder unbewusst, dass das, was in ihr wohnte, so viel Platz brauchte.“
Ich liebe diesen Satz. Ich liebe alles daran. Und es zeigt mir, was mir fehlt. Kein Zimmer. Aber die Vorstellung wirklich Raum für mich zu beanspruchen. Nicht nur einen Schreibtisch und ein Bett, sondern wirklich Raum.

The revival of the Rosebud bar, a historic artist hangout in Paris's Montparnasse neighbourhood.
When it opened in 1962, the bar was a hangout for writers such as Marguerite Duras, Samuel Beckett, Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir. It had lost some of its lustre but is now being revived by a new generation of artists.
