without speaking about the specific incident, that made you write this post, i think there is a problem with this purity culture of #nonviolence. internally or externally, it pushes everyone to condemn the kirk shooter, to condemn hamas, and – as #MargaretKilljoy did repeatedly on her #podcast – to condemn animal liberation protesters. i'll link to that last one (as an example of what i dislike, even though it's by self-described "vegan" "anarchist" )

C'est un bonheur de retrouver Margaret Killjoy ainsi que Danielle Cain. C'est comme reprendre un nouvel épisode de ma série. J'ai adoré l'intrigue autour de la nécromancie. J'aime aussi tous les questionnements de Danielle autour de la dynamique de groupe. En effet, elle est plutôt solitaire et elle se retrouve dans ce groupe suite aux événements de la nouvelle précédente.

I'm reading #TheSaplingCage by #MargaretKilljoy, and I find it fascinating to read a #YoungAdult novel about self-discovery and teenage #transgender experience combined with anarchist witch covens, power-hungry aristocrats, and fantastic supernatural beasts. I highly recommend it. #books

The text was enormously successful, eventually making its way into twelve million homes. In a new book, "Polymath: The Life and Professions of Dr. Alex Comfort, Author of The Joy of Sex," Eric Laursen tells the story of the iconic sex manual's eccentric author, a British physician and wide-ranging intellectual who passionately espoused anarchism, pacifism, and civil disobedience.

CW: alan moore's anarchism
i just finished #vforvendetta last night and it was super exciting. but: isn't #alanmoore's idea of an 'anarchist revolution' sort of similar to #marx's historical determenism? i remember him talking about it in the #margaretkilljoy interview - that #anarchism has a chaotic phase before it becomes orderly again. surely this applies when a people break from total fascism, but isn't sometimes the reality of the process so much nicer, eg mutual aid networks?

@trwnh there are pro-capitalist liberals (the ones who have appropriated the name "libertarians" but are more accurately "propertarians"), who are not part of the left, but who the left can work with on some issues. Mainly issues that involve resisting the "state" facet of capitalism, rather than the "corporate" facet; campaigns against mass surveillance, drug prohibition, imperialist war, voter suppression, and so on. #MargaretKilljoy explains this well:
