Marcelle Duchamp selected a pre-fabricated urinal, signed it, positioned it, and called it something that was...technically correct? Like I guess you could call a urinal a fountain? I, following in his footsteps, found an image of his pre-existing work, and added modern meme formatting, calling it "Picture". The top text is his name for the work, but the bottom text has been left as simply "bottom text", further reinforcing the idea of leaving something as it already was, with the art being created mostly from the artist's intention. It also brings attention to the highly derivative and borderline plagiaristic nature of modern memes, and the fact that much of the most well-known and appreciated pieces of art in our time are consumed as online memes or something adjacent.
