Dear #RStats and #Python users, I am struggling to rectangle, i.e. put in a tabular form, a #Marc21 #xml file. What do you suggest for handling #BibliographicData in this format? I tend to end up with tables where several entries are a list of subfields. Thanks!

Hm, das klingt im ersten Moment überraschend überzeugend. Daten werden durch Kontext zu Information in Form von #Metadaten, also etwa durch Kategorisierung in ein #Datenmodell oder ein Format wie #MARC21 - oder?

Welcher #Informationswissenschaft 'ler erklärt uns das genau?

Heute hat Péter Király @kiru an der #ÖNB über sein Tool "QA catalogue" zur Analyse von bibliographischen #Metadaten gesprochen.
Das gefällt mir: Es gibt in der Browser-Ansicht für die #MARC21-Daten eine numerische Darstellung und eine weitere "for humans" 😆
