Also mal überlegen, ob ich weiter experimentieren will oder doch wieder #SchwalbeMarathonPlus drauf (bisher 1 #Reifenpanne in >15 Jahren) und den höheren #Rollwiderstand ignorieren, weil es das #BromptonElectricGLine ist? 🤔

I went on a #BikeTooter shopping trip earlier, to #Waitrose* in #Cowbridge (ikr) on my #TourDeFer. The purpose of the trip was to obtain wedding anniversary flowers (thanks), and parked next to this old skool #Dawes #SuperGalaxy. The owner appeared and we had a happy 20 minutes complimenting each other on tyres (#Shwalbe #MarathonPlus) and comparing notes on gears and brakes. His were centre-pull.
*waitrose is an upmarket supermarket. It sells shizzle like mussels and #caviar

@ascentale #BikeNite A7: For me reliability is a must. Cost is the last thing I look at. I ride #MarathonPlus since I discovered their availability for the Brompton's rather exotic 16×1.35 size. Didn't notice their extra weight, but I did notice that their rolling resistance is a bit higher. Can't remember any flat since then.
Currently trying out Continental Contact Urban on my second Brompton as an alternative with seemingly less rolling resistance. Haven't ridden enough with it yet, though.

Ist in #Berlin nicht besser. Ich habe seit Jahren nur noch M+ auf meinem #Brompton. Allerdings trotzdem schon mal einen Platten gehabt.
Das Aufziehen von #MarathonPlus ist beim Brompton eine richtige Qual. Geht nur mit Tricks, z.B. Kabelbinder. Aber besser als dauernd das Rad schieben zu müssen 🙂

I use #Schwalbe #MarathonPlus tyres since "forever" on my #Brompton. #Berlin is full of broken glass 😞
I still suffered punctures, but far less than before.
Putting on and off Marathon Plus 35-349 is a nuisance, though.

This happend *while riding* and I have no idea what caused it!
