@georgetakei The #MarALagoFace worn by #LauraLoomer is the ‘clown face’ worn by women of financial means in the #MAGA cult.
#LooksMaxxing has to be weird, or what’s the point? The more you ‘stand out’, the ‘better’!

And when #UltraMAGA cult members hear this, they immediately make a #MarALagoFace. 😂

"The most empowered women in America right now are these anti-feminist, feministically empowered women. They're not trad wives. They're remaking their faces. They're on jets all the time. Who's watching the kids? They're definitely not home with their children. Daddy's watching the kids, or there's a nanny watching the kids. And in return, again, they're getting power."

Nina Burleigh discussed the loss of a sense of "anatomical normalcy" by women going for facial augmentation to attain a Mar-a-Lago face. She says,
"They have bought into or sort of submitted to, again, back to this transactional relationship thing, they've submitted to this requirement that they become caricatures of like what femininity, like Betty Boop, like comic book women, because that is what MAGA demands of the female."

"Men also have the slick frozen faces, but instead of bigger lips they’re pairing them with bigger jaws. In recent years, surgeons have reported a large increase of male clients demanding stronger jawlines.
I wouldn’t normally be snarky about someone’s looks but let’s be clear: nobody is born with Mar-a-Lago face. These are not human faces, they are luxury meat-masks meant to signal wealth and in-group belonging."'
But surgery for trans folks is unnatural….

Arwa Mahdawi talks about how Trump's epigones show their worship by having their physiognomy, their faces, remodeled to fit the image he likes, Mar-a-Lago face.
"Among women the look is characterised by huge lips that look as if they could suck up a small child whole, frozen facial expressions, and cheeks so bulbous you could hide a gerbil underneath them."

There should be a website to see how people would look like when they were to work for the #SecondTrumpAdministration: Orangified, #KristiNoem-ed, #MAGA-upped etc.

TIL that Mar-a-Lago face is a actual thing amongst the MAGA wealthy. And holy #%&$, I suddenly recognize it amongst some posers I know.

"In 2025, America no longer wears its mask; it wears a mutilation. The Red Hat Cult have spent years warping their minds around a fantasy, and their bodies are being forced to follow. MAGA was never a movement; it was a dysmorphic disorder. What began as lies spewing hate has warped into faces that no longer look human, reality rejection made real, made visible, ideology worn as surgical deformity."

Mar-a-Lago Face undermines empathy.
"[T]he women who fit the Mar-a-Lago face mold are. . . exhibiting what Dr. Jalalabadi likes to call “frozen face,” which is most likely caused by filler obstructing the muscles, and results in less emotive expressions; researchers have found this leads to a lack of ability to connect with others. This has real-world implications." (The Independent, 2025)
"[W]hat if you couldn’t smile naturally, with the usual crinkles around your eyes and creases in your cheeks? There’s convincing scientific evidence that. . . . mirroring another person’s facial expressions is essential for not only recognizing emotion, but also feeling it. . . . Permanently pouty lips and smooth brows might be good for selfies, but research suggests they flatten your affect, disconnecting you from your feelings and the feelings of others." (NYTimes, 2019)
Botox seems to affect the brain (New Scientist, 2023)
"Santiago Martinez Magdalena, a professor at the Public University of Navarra, explained . . . that cosmetic procedures generate a specific, surgical kind of beauty linked to an aesthetic eugenics with “the Caucasian model as a hygienic and normative horizon.”" (El Pais, 2025)

Can anybody say cult?
This makes me think of something Julia Boyd says in her book Travelers in the Third Reich, The Rise of Fascism: 1919-1945. She says that observers noticed after Hitler began consoldating his power, Germany became astonishingly blond overnight. In 1934, over 10 million packets of hair dye were sold in Germany, and lipsticks were discarded because it was claimed Jewish women used them.

"'But unfortunately, they’ve now stretched all their tissue and they kind of accelerated the aging of their face with things like the Joker smile, where your lips are pulled too horizontally, or you get windswept eyes because the skin wasn’t set in a proper direction.'”
-
"'We see these overfilled high cheekbones, puffy-looking faces, bordering on non-human looks, because what happens is people keep going back for little maintenance touch-ups, trying to keep up with these high cheekbones and soft shadows.'"

"Defined by big lips, overfilled cheekbones, and pixie noses, Kaleigh Werner investigates the cosmetic phenomenon sweeping through Donald Trump’s inner circle. …
'It’s the tiny little pixie nose and big lips,' Dr. Faryan Jalalabadi, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, tells The Independent. 'The opposite of a natural face in which there’s a delicate balance of proportions.' It’s all in the narrow eyes and elongated smile."
