When I looked at these, they reminded me of a musical instrument, especially the way that they fanned out like organ pipes, and it amused me to think of what sort of noise they would make if they were played.
I imagine it would be a cross between a harp (by plucking the "string" stalks) and maracas (by shaking the seed heads at the top).Gave me some fun, anyway, and that has been thin on the ground this week.
