Now that UN gave that decision about the new preferable map projection, do you think even one map/GPS application on Android will start using it?

Mercator isn't the right way to handle world-maps when you're travelling by land.

For example, two years ago I went by Interrail to Greece. Had a hell of time measuring where on that yellow line was the midpoint of my journey. Can you spot it without doing calculations?

So the 80th session of the #UnitedNations General Assembly held a vote yesterday on the anti- #Mercator resolution that I wrote about back in June. It passed 164–1, with the #UnitedStates being the lone opposing vote very likely because the resolution is “woke” and goes against Trump’s distaste of DEI.
