I just checked the numbers. This year (2026) we had over 20.000 changesets created by mapcomplete

You read that right. 20 thousand!

We've also crossed the 100.000 mark on the key 'panoramax', meaning that OSM has more then a hundred-thousand links into the #Panoramax-ecosystem. Most of them (but not all) made with #MapComplete

When I started mapping ten years ago, I couldn't have imagined that I would still be doing it today and have made over a million changes.

Nowadays, I take the app with me everywhere I go, and there's always something to map. It's also surprising how many edits you can make on a kilometre of Panoramax or Mapillary. And Wikimedia also offers plenty of images that you can link.

@zandbelt @vosje62 Misschien een aardig idee om de maker Jesús Medina Molina en de site van https://www.mapcomplete.org eens bij elkaar te brengen.

Ik heb net even gekeken maar er is (nog) geen #kaart met #schaaktafels. De kracht van #MapComplete is de mogelijkheid om verschillende thema’s te combineren. Dus bijvoorbeeld picnicplaatsen, openbare toiletten *en* schaaktafels (als voorbeeld dan).

After a delicious dinner, we went for a digestive walk with the midnightsun and making some survey. Of course I used the Osmand app with Quick Action function, Streetcomplete and took pictures with Mapcomplete.

@leonieke Wat ik jammer - maar oplosbaar! - vind is dat er geen #kaart bestaat waarop je zelf met #fiets of #lopend een #route kan uitstippelen die je langs een aantal van deze #kunstwerken brengt.

Het dichtst wat daar bij komt is een kaart van #MapComplete.org waarop kunstwerken staan vermeld maar nu nog erg leeg is. Deze huisjes staan er bijvoorbeeld niet op. Het oplosbare bestaat eruit dat mensen ze wel zelf kunnen toevoegen. 😉 #DenHaag

The biggest public bookcase until now. Found in Saue near Tallinn (Estonia) Inside has a boardgame cube. For Sure is already added to Openstreetmap by Osmand and MapComplete.

For thematic mapping, I really enjoy the community-built ones from #MapComplete
